Genesys is seeking a Principal Engineer to architect and ship MCP, A2A, and agentic workflow systems. This role is hands‑on and deeply technical, focused on the MCP server/client stack, agent communication, and a robust orchestration runtime.

You will tackle the hardest problems in the stack, design observability, and ensure secure, reliable operation at scale across multi‑agent workflows in a production setting.

Qualificações

• 12+ years of professional software engineering experience with hands‑on coding.
• Deep hands‑on expertise with MCP: designed and shipped MCP servers and clients.
• Deep hands‑on expertise with A2A or equivalent multi‑agent communication patterns.
• Proficiency in Java and/or TypeScript/Node.
• Experience building evaluation and observability for non‑deterministic systems.
• Track record shipping platform or infrastructure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication including explaining tradeoffs to non‑technical stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Design and build MCP infrastructure: servers, clients, transport, auth, scoping, versioning, MCP registry.
• Build the A2A layer: agent discovery, capability ads, task delegation, handoff, contracts, trust, failure semantics.
• Develop agentic workflow runtime: planning, state/context, memory, checkpoints, retries, termination.
• Handle end‑to‑end project work from prototype to production.
• Create evaluation/observability tooling for agent systems: tracing, eval harnesses, gates, latency cost instrumentation.
• Engineer security: tool sandboxing, least‑privilege access, prompt‑injection defenses.
• Debug production failures across non‑deterministic multi‑agent paths.
• Make build vs buy decisions for MCP gateways, runtimes, orchestration frameworks.
• Collaborate with engineers through code/design reviews and pairing.
