Pictet Technologies in Portugal is seeking an AI Engineer to design and develop components for an enterprise AI platform. You will implement MCP servers, AI agents, and orchestration services that integrate with core enterprise systems.

You will work with product managers, architects, and engineers to build modular APIs, context management, and secure access patterns, delivering reliable, scalable backend services in Python and Java.

Qualificações

• Experience with Java and Python backend development.
• Knowledge of REST, asynchronous processing and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with Kafka or similar messaging systems.
• Cloud-native development experience.
• Familiarity with MCP servers and vector databases is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain MCP servers and AI platform services.
• Build integrations between AI agents and enterprise applications.
• Design modular APIs and service orchestration layers.
• Implement tool connectors and structured action frameworks.
• Develop retrieval and context management services.
• Build scalable backend services using Python and/or Java.
• Design asynchronous and event-driven architectures.
• Integrate with APIs, Kafka, databases and cloud services.
• Optimize performance, observability and reliability.
• Integrate LLMs and AI services into enterprise workflows.
• Work with RAG pipelines, embeddings and vector databases.
• Improve context handling and orchestration capabilities.
• Contribute to AI governance and secure AI patterns.
• Apply modern engineering practices: CI/CD, automated testing, trunk-based development, semantic versioning, observability.
