Job summary

The Lakhani Group is opening L Hotel Fátima on 12 October 2026, and we are assembling our founding housekeeping team. We seek a Housekeeping Manager to set standards, manage the budget, and lead the Supervisor and five Room Attendants from day one.

You will oversee staffing, training, and performance, while coordinating with Front Office and Maintenance to ensure flawless room status and guest satisfaction. Weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years in hotel housekeeping, including a management role.
• Experience managing budgets, suppliers, and a team.
• Fluent Portuguese; good English is an advantage.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills with attention to detail.
• Available for weekends and holidays.
• Nice to have pre-opening experience.
• Paid training before opening.

• Prepare and control the housekeeping budget: labour, linen, amenities and chemicals.
• Choose and manage suppliers and the laundry contract; approve orders and track par levels.
• Plan pre-opening room set-up and deep cleans, and forecast staffing against occupancy.
• Work with Front Office and Maintenance on room status, repairs and guest feedback.
• Ensure health, safety and hygiene compliance across the department.

About L Hotel Fátima: The Lakhani Group (TLG) is opening L Hotel Fátima on 12 October 2026, and we are building our founding team.

The Housekeeping Manager heads the housekeeping department, setting the standards, budget and systems that the Housekeeping Supervisor and Room Attendants deliver every day, building the department from pre-opening onwards. Day shift, including weekends. Reports to: Hotel Manager.

Key responsibilities:

• Set housekeeping standards, room checklists and cleaning procedures
• Lead the Housekeeping Supervisor and five Room Attendants: staffing, rotas, training and performance
• Prepare and control the housekeeping budget: labour, linen, amenities and chemicals
• Choose and manage suppliers and the laundry contract;
  approve orders and track par levels
• Plan pre-opening room set-up and deep cleans, and forecast staffing against occupancy
• Work with Front Office and Maintenance on room status, repairs and guest feedback
• Ensure health, safety and hygiene compliance across the department

Applications are reviewed daily and interviews run on a rolling basis until positions are filled.
