Job summary

Bain in Lisbon invites a seasoned consultant to join the Product, Practice & Knowledge team, working across Capital Projects Acceleration and Engineering & R&D. You will build proprietary diagnostics, tools, and IP, collaborating with leadership to shape offerings and go-to-market strategies.

You will engage with senior stakeholders, coach junior teammates, and help scale capabilities across two growing Bain practices in a global environment.

Qualifications

• Current or recent consulting experience, ideally at the Consultant or Manager level.
• Typically 4–8 years of professional services experience, or 4–5 years with an MBA or Master's degree, plus an undergraduate degree.
• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate analysis into clear, actionable recommendations.
• The ability to independently drive workstreams from start to finish and deliver high-quality outcomes with limited oversight.
• Curiosity and technical aptitude, with the ability to quickly understand capital projects and engineering/R&D organizations.
• Comfort working accurately with quantitative data and analytical tools, along with hands-on experience using AI tools for research, analysis, and content development.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, including experience creating executive-level materials.
• Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and contributing to strategic discussions.
• The ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and help shape new initiatives.
• A commercial mindset and interest in business development, proposals, and go-to-market activities.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across teams and functions in a global environment.
• A commitment to continuous learning, innovation, and improvement.
• Experience coaching, mentoring, or supporting junior team members.

Responsibilities

• IP, tools, and innovation: Build and refresh diagnostics, tools, sales plays, benchmarks, and points of view across the two practices.
• Case-team and client enablement: Help case teams apply practice IP to specific client situations and deliver onboarding and bootcamps.
• Commercialization and go-to-market: Support priority pursuits by developing proposal and pitch content and sales plays.
• Practice building and community: Build and sustain the Bain affiliate network supporting CPA and ER&D work.
