Job summary

Thales seeks a proactive HR Shared Services leader to oversee daily operations for France and oversee the Europe-wide PSS team from Lisbon. You will drive service quality, ensure compliance with HR policies, and support digitalisation projects across HRIS platforms.

The role requires a Bachelor's in HR or related field, fluent French and English, and strong leadership with KPI expertise. This is a full-time position based in Lisbon, with global HR support functions and opportunities for

Qualifications

• Experience in HR operations, People Services, HR Shared Services, or similar with leadership.
• Knowledge of French employment legislation and compliance.
• Ability to lead, motivate, coach and develop a team.
• Experience with KPIs, SLAs, operational metrics, and service standards.
• Proficiency in HR systems/tools, ideally Workday or ServiceNow.
• Fluency in French and English.

At Thales, you'll join our HR Shared Service Center, supporting employees and managers across different countries while helping deliver a consistent, high-quality employee experience - every single day.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the PSS team: Oversee daily operations, allocate workloads, set priorities, and ensure the team meets established service levels, quality standards, and operational targets.
• Ensure HR service delivery excellence: Oversee HR administrative and employee support services for France, ensuring accuracy, consistency, timeliness, and a positive employee experience.
• Manage team performance and development: Set clear objectives, monitor individual and team performance, provide regular feedback and support professional development and engagement.
• Ensure compliance with HR policies and legislation: Ensure HR operations follow internal policies, data protection requirements, and applicable French labour legislation and employment practices.
• Drive continuous improvement: Identify opportunities to optimise processes, improve efficiency, standardise procedures and enhance service quality across the PSS organisation.
• Monitor KPIs and service levels: Track operational performance indicators, analyse trends, identify root causes of recurring issues and implement corrective actions when needed.
• Manage stakeholder relationships: Build effective partnerships with local HR teams, HR Business Partners, employees and other internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and resolve escalated matters.
• Support change and transformation initiatives: Contribute to HR projects, process harmonisation, digitalisation and the implementation or optimisation of HR systems and tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
• Experience in HR operations, People Services, HR Shared Services, or a similar environment, including previous team management or leadership responsibilities.
• Good understanding of French employment legislation and HR administrative practices, with the ability to ensure compliance across relevant processes.
• Ability to lead, motivate, coach and develop a team while fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
• Experience working with KPIs, SLAs, operational metrics, and service quality standards in a customer-oriented environment.
• Demonstrated ability to analyse processes, identify inefficiencies, implement improvements and support standardization and automation initiatives.
• Proficiency in HR systems and tools, ideally including Workday, ServiceNow, or similar HRIS and case management platforms.
• Fluency in French and English, with strong communication skills.
