As People Operations Coordinator - South, you will be the local People & Culture point of contact for our operations in the South of Portugal. The role will be primarily based in Sines, where you will spend most of your working week, while also supporting our operations in Lisbon and Santarém. You will combine hands‑on payroll and HR administration responsibilities with people development activities, working closely with managers, employees and the wider People & Culture team to ensure consistent HR processes and strong support to our sites.
- Manage HR administration processes for the assigned sites, including employment contracts, contractual renewals and employee documentation
- Prepare and validate monthly payroll inputs, provide payroll support to employees and prepare salary simulations
- Support employee relations and disciplinary processes, ensuring appropriate documentation and coordination with the HR Business Partner
- Support benefits and career management, competency mapping and performance management processes
- Monitor and report key People & Culture indicators, including headcount and turnover, and contribute to the monthly indicators review
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes and support the maintenance of job descriptions and the Job Manual
- Contribute to organisational climate and employee engagement initiatives, maintaining close contact with managers and employees across the assigned sites
- Degree in Human Resources Management, Psychology, Management or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in a generalist HR role, preferably in an industrial, operational or multi-site environment
- Hands‑on experience in payroll and HR administration is required
- Good knowledge of Portuguese labour law, employment contracts, working time, attendance, overtime and disciplinary processes
- Good analytical skills, including experience with HR indicators, Excel and HR/payroll systems
- Good command of English
- Based in Sines or the Alentejo Litoral area, or with availability to relocate to the region
- Strong interpersonal skills, autonomy, organisation and availability to travel regularly across our operations in Sines, Lisbon and Santarém
