Job summary

Nestlé Business Solutions (NBS) is seeking an Ocean Allocation Strategy Specialist in Portugal to supervise Nestlé's ocean shipment allocation processes, ensuring timely and compliant delivery. You will manage tender volumes, align with Markets and Global Logistics Procurement, and strengthen collaboration among markets, carriers and procurement.

The role emphasizes governance of Shipment Management Systems, stakeholder relationships, and continuous performance improvements in line with SLAs.

Qualifications

Technical university degree in a relevant field.
5+ years of freight forwarding or shipping experience.
Strong customer service skills.
Knowledge of Physical Logistics and shipment flows.
Supply Chain project management experience.
Experience working with external providers.
Advanced English proficiency (Spanish is a plus).
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.

Responsibilities

Consolidate and validate annual tender volumes and review market variations.
Align with Markets and GLP on revised volumes, allocations and tender requirements.
Communicate annual allocation outcomes: volumes, carriers, terms, and transit times.
Coordinate with carriers on nominations and volumes ahead of ETD (4–6 weeks).
Manage post-tender adjustments and new lane requests.
Monitor allocation performance and share updates with stakeholders.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in line with service levels.
