InnoTech in Portugal is looking for a Mid Data Platform Engineer to help scale our data platform across data lakes, warehouses and streaming environments. You will investigate incidents, develop ETL/ELT pipelines, monitor data quality and optimize performance while supporting platform users.

We value strong SQL, hands-on with DBT, Kafka, Ignite, NiFi, Airflow, Python or Scala, and cloud experience with AWS or Azure. Fluent Portuguese and English are required to collaborate across teams.

Qualificações

• Solid experience with production data pipelines.
• Knowledge of distributed data processing tech such as Apache Spark.
• Hands-on with DBT, Kafka, Ignite, NiFi, Airflow and Python/Scala.
• Experience with AWS or Azure and Grafana.
• Fluent Portuguese and English; EU work permit or CPLP nationality is required.

Your Mission Will Be

• Support the operation of a large-scale data platform by investigating incidents, resolving technical issues, and assisting platform users;
• Develop and maintain reliable ETL/ELT pipelines and data workflows across data lakes, data warehouses, and streaming environments;
• Monitor and enhance data quality, platform performance, workflow efficiency, and SQL processes to improve reliability and cost effectiveness;
• Automate recurring processes, document technical practices, and contribute to the review and release of data products into production.

You Will Need

• Solid professional experience with production data pipelines, strong SQL expertise;
• Knowledge of distributed data processing technologies such as Apache Spark;
• Hands-on knowledge of troubleshooting and working with DBT, Apache Kafka, Apache Ignite, Apache NiFi, and Apache Airflow, together with Python or Scala;
• Experience with AWS or Azure cloud data services and Grafana;
• Fluent Portuguese and English, strong analytical and communication skills, and CPLP nationality or an EU work permit is required to facilitate employment.

Would Be Awesome If You Have

• Knowledge of Dremio and modern data lakehouse architectures, together with experience using Terraform to provision data services;
• Familiarity with Power BI on-premises Gateway and data catalogue or governance platforms such as Collibra or Alation;
• BSc or MSc in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields.
