Job summary

Preh Portugal in Trofa near Porto is looking for a Material Planner & Buyer who will ensure smooth flow of materials for automotive technologies. You will translate requisitions into SAP purchase orders, manage scheduling agreements, and create kanban calls with suppliers, supporting on-time deliveries and cost-efficient purchasing.

You bring 2–4 years in procurement or material planning, knowledge of SAP MM/PP or similar ERP, strong negotiation skills, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• Academic background in Engineering, Management, Logistics, or equivalent (preferred, not mandatory).
• 2–4 years of experience in procurement, material planning, or supply chain (manufacturing/industrial background is a plus).
• Solid knowledge of purchasing processes and supply chain principles.
• Hands-on experience with SAP (MM/PP modules) or similar ERP systems.
• Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
• Analytical mindset with problem‑solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).
• Fluency in English (written and spoken); other languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and update scheduling agreements (LPA) and standard purchase orders (NB).
• Create and send kanban call orders to suppliers.
• Receive and process purchase order confirmations in SAP.
• Monitor deliveries through deadlines, carrier loading schedules, and shortage reports.
• Negotiate with suppliers regarding order changes to support production needs.
• Maintain and update purchasing process documentation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in procurement and supply chain collaboration.

• Receive and process purchase order confirmations in SAP.
• Monitor deliveries through deadlines, carrier loading schedules, and shortage reports.
• Negotiate with suppliers regarding order changes (advancements, postponements, or cancellations) to support production needs.
• Maintain and update purchasing process documentation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in procurement and supply chain collaboration.
