Job summary

Preh Portugal, Trofa, is seeking a Materials Planner & Buyer to ensure smooth material flow for automotive technologies. You will convert requisitions into purchase orders in SAP, manage scheduling agreements, and create kanban orders to align with production needs.

The role requires 2–4 years in procurement or material planning, strong purchasing knowledge, SAP MM/PP experience, and English fluency. Join an international team and contribute to continuous improvement in procurement.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in procurement, material planning, or supply chain.
• Solid knowledge of purchasing processes and supply chain principles.
• Hands-on experience with SAP (MM/PP modules) or similar ERP systems.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Analyze and convert requisitions into purchase orders in SAP.
• Manage and update scheduling agreements (LPA) and standard purchase orders (NB).
• Create and send kanban call orders to suppliers.
• Receive and process purchase order confirmations in SAP.
• Monitor deliveries through deadlines, carrier loading schedules, and shortage reports.
• Negotiate with suppliers regarding order changes to support production needs.
• Address supplier non-compliance on delivery dates, quantities, or quality.
• Maintain and update purchasing process documentation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in procurement and supply chain collaboration.
