Preh Portugal is seeking a Material Planner & Buyer to ensure smooth material flow for automotive technologies. The role is based in Trofa, Portugal, collaborating with suppliers and internal teams to guarantee timely deliveries, optimal stock levels, and cost-efficient purchasing.

The candidate will analyze requisitions in SAP, manage purchase orders and scheduling agreements, and drive continuous procurement improvements within a global context.

Qualificações

• Academic background in Engineering, Management, Logistics, or equivalent.
• 2-4 years of experience in procurement, material planning, or supply chain.
• Solid knowledge of purchasing processes and supply chain principles.
• Hands-on experience with SAP (MM/PP) or similar ERP systems.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Responsabilidades

• Analyze and convert requisitions into purchase orders in SAP.
• Manage and update scheduling agreements (LPA) and standard purchase orders (NB).
• Create and send kanban call orders to suppliers.
• Receive and process purchase order confirmations in SAP.
• Monitor deliveries through deadlines, carrier loading schedules, and shortage reports.
• Negotiate with suppliers regarding order changes to support production needs.
• Address supplier non-compliance on delivery dates, quantities, or quality.
• Maintain and update purchasing process documentation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in procurement and supply chain collaboration.

About the Role

As a Material Planner & Buyer, you will join our dynamic team at Preh Portugal (Trofa), ensuring the smooth flow of materials and components that power our innovative automotive technologies. You’ll work in a global environment, collaborating with suppliers and internal teams to guarantee timely deliveries, optimal stock levels, and cost-efficient purchasing processes.

The Challenges in Front of You:

• Analyze and convert requisitions into purchase orders in SAP.
• Manage and update scheduling agreements (LPA) and standard purchase orders (NB).
• Create and send kanban call orders to suppliers.
• Receive and process purchase order confirmations in SAP.
• Monitor deliveries through deadlines, carrier loading schedules, and shortage reports.
• Negotiate with suppliers regarding order changes (advancements, postponements, or cancellations) to support production needs.
• Address supplier non-compliance on delivery dates, quantities, or quality.
• Maintain and update purchasing process documentation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in procurement and supply chain collaboration.

What You Bring to the Table

• Academic background in Engineering, Management, Logistics, or equivalent (preferred, not mandatory).
• 2-4 years of experience in procurement, material planning, or supply chain (manufacturing/industrial background is a plus).
• Solid knowledge of purchasing processes and supply chain principles.
• Hands-on experience with SAP (MM/PP modules) or similar ERP systems.
• Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).
• Fluency in English (written and spoken); other languages are a plus.
