Preh Portugal, Lda, in Trofa, is seeking a Head of Purchasing (Non-Production Procurement) to lead non-production procurement activities, drive supplier strategies, and optimize costs in an international automotive setting.

The role requires strong SAP knowledge, English fluency (German is a plus), and proven leadership to develop a high-performance team.

Qualificações

• Degree in Business Admin, SCM, Logistics, or related field.
• Solid experience in Purchasing or Procurement in industrial multinational environment.
• Proven experience in supplier management, contract negotiation, and procurement strategy.
• Strong SAP knowledge and excellent analytical skills.

Responsabilidades

• Lead non-production procurement across the organization and coordinate activities.
• Develop supplier strategies, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships.
• Monitor purchasing performance and provide data-driven insights to management and HQ.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement in procurement processes.
• Manage workload distribution, performance evaluation, and development of the purchasing team.
• Collaborate with global procurement and ensure compliance with automotive standards and policies.

About the Role:

We are looking for a Head of Purchasing (Non-Production Procurement) to join our team at Preh Portugal (Trofa) and play a key role in leading procurement activities for goods and services not directly related to production. You will drive supplier management, cost optimization, procurement strategy, and team development while ensuring operational excellence within a dynamic international automotive environment.

The Challenges in Front of You:

• Lead and coordinate the procurement of non-production goods and services across the organization
• Develop supplier strategies, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships with local and international suppliers
• Monitor purchasing performance, prepare reports, and provide data-driven insights to management and headquarters
• Drive cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement projects within procurement processes
• Manage workload distribution, performance evaluation, and development of the purchasing team
• Collaborate with global procurement functions and ensure compliance with automotive industry standards and company policies
