Job summary

Mystic Cruises is seeking a Hotel Director to oversee the entire Hotel Department, including F&B, Front Office, Tour Office and entertainment, ensuring top service while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

You will coordinate with ship departments, manage budgets, lead a team of hotel crew, and drive cost optimization while delivering exceptional guest experiences across itineraries worldwide.

Qualifications

• College degree or hotel management training required.
• 3+ years as Hotel Director in a luxury hotel or 3+ years as Senior Hotel Manager on a luxury cruise.
• Fluent written and spoken English and German.
• Strong communication and supervisory capabilities.
• Excellent administrative and organizational skills with leadership.
• Calm under pressure with a diplomatic approach.
• Outgoing personality and positive attitude toward guests and crew.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all Hotel Department operations (F&B, Front Office, Tour Office, Entertainment).
• Maintain effective communication between Hotel, Deck and Engine departments.
• Keep Captain informed of events affecting navigation, safety or service quality.
• Coordinate crew matters and liaise with Mystic Head Office.
• Lead planning and scheduling of cruises and future layouts.
• Ensure adherence to health and hygiene standards (USPH, Ship San, Anvisa).
• Manage budgeting, resource planning and cost control for the Hotel Department.
• Conduct performance appraisals and approve department evaluations.
• Interact with guests and crew to uphold service standards and guest satisfaction.
