Job summary

1GLOBAL is expanding its global mobile connectivity platform and seeks a Network Optimization Engineer to drive performance and reliability across its mobile core network. You will detect, investigate, and resolve network issues before customers are affected, and define monitoring, KPIs, and observability strategies to enable proactive response.

You will lead root-cause analyses, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to architecture improvements.

Qualifications

• Must have strong mobile network knowledge across 2G/3G/4G/LTE/5G.
• Experience with MVNO architectures and roaming considerations.
• Proficient in networking protocols, signaling, and telecom applications (MAP, CAMEL, SIP).
• Proven troubleshooting, RCA, and cross-domain performance analysis.
• Fluent professional English communication.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and report network KPIs; define new KPI requirements and observability integrations.
• Lead investigation and resolution of major incidents across mobile core domains.
• Own RCA process; ensure corrective/preventive actions are tracked and completed.
• Analyse signalling, session behaviour, and service flows for reliability improvements.
• Manage traffic during changes and events to protect performance and stability.
• Oversee deployment, testing, and readiness of new core network elements and software upgrades.
• Develop and maintain recovery plans and playbooks for rapid service restoration.
• Provide operational input to solution architecture for reliability and maintainability.
• Create automation, scripts, and repeatable workflows to accelerate issue detection and mitigation.
• Define and improve vendor/service governance processes; collaborate across teams.
• Contribute to cross-team investigations with multi-disciplinary groups; participate in 24/7 on-call rotation.
