Job summary

Leonteq, a Swiss fintech, seeks an experienced Compliance professional in Lisbon to manage onboarding, KYC and AML processes for Europe operations. You will ensure adherence to EU regulations, coordinate with Sales, Legal and risk teams, and prepare internal notes and documentation to support audits and regulator requests.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in Compliance, Audit, Consulting or similar function, preferably in B2B onboarding.
• Strong knowledge of European/EU financial markets laws and regulation relevant to onboarding/Client Documentation/KYC/AML.
• Fluent in English; additional languages like French/German/Italian are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handling of counterparty onboardings, client documentation, KYC and AML-related matters for Leonteq Securities (Europe) GmbH.
• Handling of due diligence procedures and clarifications for high risk cases; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Adherence to internal policies and external regulatory requirements in Europe/EU; assess new regulatory requirements when needed.
• Daily interaction with Sales/Relationship Officers and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication.
• Preparation of internal notes/assessments on onboarding/KYC/client documentation/AML issues.
• Identify operational inefficiencies and propose improvements; participate in various projects and tool testing.
• Documentation and lifecycle management of relationships; respond to audit/regulator requests.
