Job summary

Leonteq is a Swiss fintech company seeking a Compliance/Onboarding professional to handle counterparty onboarding, KYC and AML matters for Leonteq Securities (Europe) GmbH, coordinating with Sales and other stakeholders to ensure compliant client documentation.

Requirements include a degree in Law, Compliance or Finance, 3–5 years in financial services compliance, strong EU regulatory knowledge, and fluent English.

Qualifications

• Degree in Law, Compliance, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• At least 3–5 years of experience in compliance, audit, consulting or similar in the financial industry.
• Strong knowledge of European/EU financial markets laws/regulations relevant to onboarding/KYC/AML.
• Dedicated, team-player attitude with hands-on approach and willingness to take responsibility.
• Fluent in English; French/German/Italian skills are a plus; experience with compliance tools like World-Check One is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Handle counterparty onboardings, client documentation, KYC and AML-related matters for Leonteq Securities (Europe) GmbH.
• Handle due diligence procedures, incl. KYC/AML clarifications and assessments for complex cases (e.g., PEP-related).
• Clarify client documentation requirements.
• Adhere to internal policies and applicable EU regulatory requirements; assess new regulatory requirements as needed.
• Interact daily with Sales/Relationship Officers.
• Provide guidance on onboarding, KYC and client documentation topics; coordinate with stakeholders.
• Prepare internal notes/assessments on onboarding/KYC/client documentation/AML issues.
• Identify operational inefficiencies and propose improvements; participate in projects and tool testing.
• Document lifecycle management of relationships.
• Address audit/regulator requests, including preparation of files and remediation actions.
