Job summary

Decskill is seeking a Junior Machine Learning Engineer for a remote project based in Portugal. You will work with Python and core data libraries on real-world ML tasks while collaborating with a cross-functional team across disciplines.

The role welcomes up to 2 years of hands-on ML or data science experience, emphasizing strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences. This position is fully remote in Portugal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a similar field.
• Up to 2 years of experience in machine learning or data science (academic projects and internships are welcome).
• Knowledge of Python and its main data libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn).
• Basic knowledge of machine learning concepts and algorithms.

We would like to meet a Junior Machine Learning Engineer to join a remote project based in Portugal.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a similar field.
• Up to 2 years of experience in machine learning or data science (academic projects and internships are welcome).
• Knowledge of Python and its main data libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn).
• Basic knowledge of machine learning concepts and algorithms.
• Experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch will be considered an advantage.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP) will be considered an advantage.
• Knowledge of Git and MLOps practices will be considered an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
