Job summary

Hexa Consulting is seeking a Security Engineer to support enterprise infrastructure security and systems operations in the healthcare and insurance services sector, focusing on Windows and Linux environments in Lisbon, Portugal.

You will contribute to stability, protection and continuous optimization by performing hardening, patching, vulnerability remediation, incident investigations and cross-functional collaboration with IT teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in security engineering or related field.
• Academic background in Computer Engineering or related area, at bachelor’s or master’s level.
• Structured, methodical and analytical troubleshooting approach.

Responsibilities

• Support security hardening, patching, and vulnerability remediation.
• Conduct structured incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Manage Windows and Linux system administration and troubleshooting.
• Execute technical changes per procedures and change-management rules.
• Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
