Hexa Consulting is seeking a Security Engineer to join our Client's team in Lisbon, adopting a hybrid work model. You will help secure Windows and Linux infrastructures, conduct incident investigations and support vulnerability remediation.

This role requires 1–3 years of experience, a degree in computer engineering, and fluency in Portuguese and English (B2+). The setup includes healthcare and insurance benefits, continuous learning, and a collaborative culture.

JOB DETAILS

Lisbon, Portugal | Hybrid | Healthcare & Insurance Services Sector

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

• 1–3 years of professional experience in Security Engineering, Infrastructure Support, Systems Administration or a related technical field.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering or a related field (preferred).
• Practical knowledge of Windows Server and Linux environments.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles, infrastructure hardening, patching and vulnerability remediation.
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals and enterprise infrastructure security.
• Ability to perform structured technical troubleshooting, incident investigation and root-cause analysis.
• Familiarity with change-management procedures and technical documentation practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured and methodical approach.
• Customer-oriented mindset, attention to detail and proactive attitude towards continuous improvement.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English proficiency at B2 level or above.

NICE TO HAVE

• Basic scripting or automation knowledge using PowerShell, Bash or Python.

TECHNOLOGY STACK

• Infrastructure Security: Security Hardening, Patch Management, Vulnerability Remediation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support security hardening, patching, vulnerability remediation and infrastructure security activities across enterprise environments.
• Perform structured incident investigation, problem analysis and root-cause identification to ensure effective issue resolution.
• Support the administration, operation and troubleshooting of Windows and Linux systems.
• Investigate infrastructure-related incidents and contribute to system stability, security and continuous optimization.
• Execute technical changes according to established procedures, change-management processes and documentation standards.
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders during investigation, troubleshooting and resolution activities.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of infrastructure security and operational reliability.
