Job summary

Aubay Portugal is seeking a Technical Lead/Lead Developer to guide a development team in Lisbon, shaping architecture and ensuring best practices within a hybrid work model.

You will mentor engineers, coordinate with stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement while delivering robust, scalable solutions using Java, Angular, and TypeScript.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Java (8/17/21).
• Strong experience with Angular and TypeScript.
• 2+ years in Technical Leadership / Lead Developer roles.
• French B2 and English B1 – mandatory.
• Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Technically lead and guide a development team to implement solutions and uphold architecture.
• Define and validate technical architecture for User Stories and Features.
• Ensure development best practices, including code reviews and unit testing.
• Manage technical debt and drive continuous improvement within the team.
• Oversee CI/CD integration ensuring performance, security and availability.
• Provide mentoring and guidance to team members.

What will you do?

• Technically lead and guide a development team, ensuring the correct implementation of solutions and adherence to architectural standards;
• Define and validate the technical architecture for User Stories and Features, considering both functional and non-functional requirements;
• Ensure the consistent application of development best practices, including code reviews, unit testing, and defined quality patterns;
• Manage technical debt, specify and validate technical enablers, and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the team;
• Oversee the correct integration of solutions into the CI/CD pipeline and validate compliance with performance, security, and availability requirements;
• Provide technical support, mentoring, and guidance to team members, fostering their growth and skill development.
