Job summary

Wire IT in Lisbon, Portugal, is seeking a senior technical lead/architect to join its growing international team. You will design and implement complex, business‑critical solutions, own architectural decisions, and guide delivery across agile squads.

The ideal candidate has up to 15 years of software development or leadership experience, fluent English, strong communication, and a solid SDLC understanding. Hybrid work, health insurance, vacation, and training budget are offered.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Up to 15 years of experience in software development, architecture, or technical leadership roles.
• Proven experience as a Technical Lead, Solution Lead, Senior Developer, or similar role.
• Strong hands‑on experience designing and implementing complex, business‑critical solutions.
• Solid understanding of software architecture, application integrations, and the SDLC.
• Experience managing technical debt, driving continuous improvement, and producing technical documentation.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
• Familiarity with GDPR and its impact on application and solution design.
• Experience in the Energy & Utilities sector is a plus.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work in international teams.
• Fluent English is mandatory.
