Job summary

Capgemini Engineering in Porto is seeking an experienced Java Full-Stack Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications across backend and frontend layers.

You will work with Spring Boot, REST APIs, and modern frontend frameworks (Angular/React/Vue.js/Vaadin), participate in API design, database management with PostgreSQL, and contribute to architecture decisions while collaborating with international teams in a hybrid work setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong frontend development experience with Angular, React, Vue.js, or Vaadin.
• Experience designing, developing, and consuming REST APIs.
• Relational databases experience, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of Java 21 and migration projects.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop modern and responsive frontend applications using Angular, React, Vue.js, or Vaadin.
• Design, implement, and consume RESTful APIs.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, testers, and product stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Work with PostgreSQL and other relational databases for data management.
• Apply software engineering best practices, including clean code, testing, and code reviews.
• Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making.
