Capgemini Portugal is seeking a Java Developer (Kotlin) to join our Lisbon development team in a hybrid model. You will support migrating insurance software from a monolithic architecture to microservices and develop backend services using Java or Kotlin in a desktop-oriented environment.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of Java/Kotlin experience, previous migration work (preferably to microservices), strong communication skills, and English level B2.

YOU ROLE

We are looking for a Java Developer (Kotlin) to join our development team in Lisbon (hybrid work).

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Support the migration of insurance software from a monolithic architecture to microservices.
• Develop and maintain backend services using Java or Kotlin in a desktop-oriented environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a hybrid work model to ensure high-quality delivery.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and improve system performance throughout the migration process.

YOUR PROFILE

• At least 5 years of experience with Java and Kotlin (desktop-oriented development)
• Previous work with software migration, ideally to microservices
• Good communication skills and ability to work in hybrid teams
• English level B2
• Availability for hybrid work in Lisbon
