We are searching for an IT Software Asset Management Officer!
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with governance, policies and rules related to Software Asset Management (SAM).
- Enforce SAM rules and contribute to the creation and updating of procedures and awareness documentation.
- Collect and maintain evidence of software usage for global and local inventories.
- Launch and follow up on local software inventories related to existing software contracts.
- Collect and maintain evidence of software purchases, including contracts, amendments, Purchase Orders and related invoices.
- Monitor software maintenance payments and ensure the related information is properly tracked.
- Act as the first point of contact for software purchases, liaising with Procurement teams and software resellers.
- Monitor software usage against purchased licences, identifying compliance gaps and opportunities for optimisation.
- Follow up on action plans related to software compliance and optimisation, including uninstallation, licence transfer and additional purchases.
- Liaise with the relevant teams to ensure corrective actions are implemented within the required timeframe.
- Raise alerts and points of attention to management in a timely manner.
- Maintain global tracking of software usage versus purchases and maintenance payments.
- Maintain software-specific documentation, including licensing metrics, purchasing rules, specificities and key attention points, based on contract analysis.
- Prepare post-inventory summaries and follow up on identified actions.
- Contribute to SAM reporting activities and provide relevant summaries and key points of attention.
- Prepare SAM reports for management, including consolidated views, statistics and areas requiring attention.
- Provide information regarding software usage, purchases and applicable rules whenever required.
- Work closely with international and remote teams, ensuring effective collaboration in a multicultural environment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Management, or another relevant field.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in IT.
- Previous professional experience in Software Asset Management (SAM).
- Good knowledge of software licensing, compliance and optimisation.
- Experience analysing software contracts and extracting relevant information related to licensing, purchases and usage rights.
- Knowledge of Power BI.
- Experience working in a multicultural and international environment, including collaboration with remote teams.
- Strong analytical and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage and follow up on action plans and multiple stakeholders.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive, rigorous and autonomous mindset.
- ITIL certification is considered a plus.
- Portuguese: Expert.
- French: Notions.
