About the Role

You will join the CIB (Corporate Investment Banking) unit of over 100 professionals in Portugal.

We are looking for an IT Application Manager responsible for overseeing application support, ensuring operational excellence, and maintaining strong alignment with business stakeholders.

As an IT Application Manager, you will be responsible for:

Application Support & Operations

• Ensure the stability, security, and performance of applications and underlying infrastructure
• Manage incidents, problems, and continuous service improvement initiatives
• Monitor and report key events (incidents, risks, obsolescence, security topics)
• Drive preventive and corrective actions to guarantee service continuity

Business Relationship Management

• Act as the main point of contact for business stakeholders
• Understand and translate business needs into IT actions
• Ensure service levels are delivered and stakeholder expectations are met
• Maintain strong communication and trust with all parties

Change & Application Lifecycle Management

• Participate in change validation, planning, and deployment processes
• Ensure solutions are reliable, testable, and production-ready
• Validate test strategies (functional, technical, performance) and results
• Authorise production releases while managing associated risks
• Ensure proper documentation and application knowledge management
• Maintain environments and development/delivery tools availability

About You

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Around 6–10 years of experience in IT support or application management
• Strong IT background with good understanding of production environments
• Solid knowledge of ITIL practices
• Experience in financial environments is a plus
• Knowledge of Moody’s RCO tool is a plus
