Job summary

Jobbex IT in Porto, Portugal is seeking an Informix Database Service Manager to act as the main technical contact for Informix databases and related services for our client.

You will coordinate DBAs, infrastructure, networking, application, and support teams, monitor performance and SLAs, lead service reviews, and manage incidents, changes, and problem resolution, ensuring documentation is kept up to date.

Qualifications

• Experience in database administration, support, or operations.
• Solid knowledge of IBM Informix architecture, monitoring, backups, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of SQL and relevant operating systems.
• Ability to interpret logs and performance metrics and to diagnose database issues.
• Experience with IT service management and client-facing technical coordination.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and SLA management.
• Technical English proficiency.
