AHM is seeking an HR Generalist to support the employee lifecycle and daily HR activities in Lagos. The role collaborates with employees, managers, and the HR team to deliver efficient support and ensure consistent HR processes.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a human resources, personnel administration, or HR support role.
• Knowledge of Portuguese employment practices and HR administration.
• Knowledge of core HR processes: recruitment, onboarding, employee records.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with ability to manage competing priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; professional and approachable.
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly and exercise sound judgment.
• Proactive, service-oriented approach and ability to work collaboratively with employees and managers.
• Experience with Microsoft Office; HR information systems is an advantage.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English preferred.
• Availability to work in Lagos.

Responsibilities

• Support recruitment activities: posting vacancies, coordinating interviews, candidate communication, onboarding assistance.
• Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes with documentation and records.
• Answer employee and manager questions about HR processes and policies; escalate issues as needed.
• Maintain accurate employee records and handle sensitive data discreetly.
• Assist with contracts, changes, leave, attendance, and HR documentation.
• Support payroll preparation by collecting and providing employee information.
• Coordinate training activities and track participation.
• Assist with HR policies implementation and communication.
• Support employee engagement activities and positive workplace culture.
• Prepare HR reports and monitor workforce information.
• Collaborate with managers across departments to support operational needs.
