Siemens AG in Portugal seeks a Head of Quality Excellence for eMobility to lead the global quality framework and drive transformation across locations worldwide. The role requires strategic leadership and hands-on implementation to ensure consistent quality across the business.

The Head of Quality Excellence leads the global Quality Excellence function within Siemens eMobility and is responsible for establishing, governing, and continuously improving the overarching quality framework across all eMobility locations worldwide.

The role ensures a consistent, effective, and future-oriented Quality Management System by combining quality governance, certification and audit management, quality methodologies, regulatory framework coordination, digitalization, and organizational learning. It provides the global framework that enables local Quality organizations and business functions to apply common standards, methods, processes, and digital solutions.

1. Global Leadership of Quality Excellence

• Lead and further develop the worldwide Quality Excellence Team.
• Define the strategic direction, priorities, and roadmap for Quality Excellence across the global eMobility organization.
• Drive collaboration and knowledge sharing between global and local Quality organizations.
• Act as the central interface for cross-location Quality Excellence topics.

2. Global ISO Certification Management

• Manage and coordinate the global three-year ISO certification audit cycle across all relevant eMobility locations.
• Ensure timely preparation, execution, and follow-up of certification and surveillance audits.
• Coordinate the implementation of new or revised ISO requirements within the organization.
• Ensure consistent interpretation and implementation of certification requirements across locations.

3. Global Audit Program

• Define, manage, and execute the global SI E audit program.
• Conduct and coordinate internal audits and ensure systematic follow-up of findings and resulting actions.
• Establish mechanisms for cross-location learning and sharing of audit findings and best practices.
• Ensure transparency of audit status, findings, and actions through standardized reporting and Power BI dashboards.

4. Integrated Management System & Quality Governance

• Establish, maintain, and continuously improve a centralized Integrated Management System (IMS) for all eMobility locations.
• Define global documentation standards, governance principles, roles, and responsibilities.
• Ensure alignment of the IMS with applicable ISO requirements and Siemens AG guidelines.
• Promote harmonization and simplification of management-system processes across locations.

5. Regulatory Framework Governance

• Centrally coordinate and govern the operational and strategic organization of the regulatory framework.
• Manage the planning, preparation, maintenance, and publication of relevant regulatory information.
• Establish transparent governance structures to support consistent implementation across the organization.

6. Quality Methods & Competence Development

• Establish a globally consistent framework for core Quality methodologies and provide training, coaching, and expert support.
• Drive consistent application and continuous improvement of methods including:
• FMEA
• 8D Problem Solving
• Process Capability Analysis
• VDA 6.3 Process Audits
• Strengthen Quality competence across functions and locations through structured knowledge transfer and communities of practice.

7. Quality Digitalization & QM Tool Landscape

• Manage and further develop the global software and tool landscape for Quality Management.
• Drive the digitalization and automation of Quality processes.
• Promote harmonized and efficient digital Quality solutions across locations.
• Ensure appropriate integration of digital QM solutions into the overall Quality Management framework.
• Increase transparency and data-driven Quality Management through digital reporting and analytics.

8. Global Quality Communities

• Establish and facilitate global Quality communities and expert networks, including communities for FMEA, configuration/change-related Quality topics, audits, and other key Quality disciplines.
• Enable systematic exchange of lessons learned, methods, standards, and best practices.
• Strengthen collaboration between Quality experts across regions and locations.

9. Global Management Review

• Lead the organization, preparation, and coordination of the global SI E Management Review.
• Consolidate relevant Quality Management information and ensure structured management-level reporting.
• Coordinate decisions and resulting actions from Management Reviews.
• Monitor and track agreed actions through completion and provide transparency to management.

Professional expertise

• Degree in Engineering or a related technical field
• Extensive experience in Quality Management within an international industrial environment
• Strong knowledge of ISO-based management systems and certification processes
• Profound experience in internal and external audit management
• Sound knowledge of Quality methodologies such as FMEA, 8D, process capability, VDA 6.3, Lessons Learned, and initial sample processes
• Experience in establishing and maintaining Integrated Management Systems
• Experience with Quality digitalization, reporting, and QM software solutions
• Strong understanding of Quality governance and regulatory frameworks
• Leadership experience in international and cross-functional environments
• Strategic thinking combined with a hands-on implementation mindset
• Strong governance and process orientation
• Ability to translate complex Quality requirements into pragmatic organizational solutions
