International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL) in Braga seeks an internationally recognised research leader to head the 2D Materials & Devices group. The role focuses on scalable device technologies based on 2D materials, combining wafer-scale growth, advanced nanofabrication, and device integration.

The candidate will leverage INL's MOCVD/CVD facilities, pursue national and European funding, including ERC Starting, Consolidator and Advanced Grants, and shape a world-class research

Qualificações

• PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Nanotechnology, Materials Science or related fields.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and develop an internationally competitive research programme in scalable 2D material device technologies with emphasis on ICT.
• Utilise INL facilities (MOCVD, cleanroom, characterization) to establish innovative device platforms.
• Develop electronic/optoelectronic/ionic devices based on graphene, hBN, TMDs and related heterostructures.
• Set ambitious research directions combining scalable growth with advanced fabrication and integration.
• Secure competitive funding from national, European (ERC Starting/Consolidator/Advanced Grants) and international programmes.
