Job summary

Fundraise Up, Inc. is seeking an experienced leader to own global payroll, equity, and benefits across all countries and entities. You will build calendars, controls, and processes to ensure accurate and timely payroll, while developing scalable systems and governance for complex, distributed teams.

The role requires 7+ years in payroll and rewards with multi‑country responsibility, strong data governance, and experience with HRIS tools. Fully remote work is offered across international markets.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive experience across global payroll, total rewards, benefits, HRIS, or people operations with multi-country payroll ownership.
• Experience managing direct-entity, EOR/PEO, and contractor populations across multiple jurisdictions.
• Hands-on experience calculating bonuses or variable compensation and building review/approval controls.
• Experience designing or administering equity and long-term incentive programs.
• Experience auditing an HRIS (e.g., BambooHR), including data governance, workflows, permissions, integrations, and reporting.
• Knowledge of payroll compliance, equity tax considerations, audit requirements, and stock-based compensation accounting concepts (ASC 718).
• Proven ability to improve complex workflows in distributed environments.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end global payroll delivery for employees and contractors, ensuring payments, deductions, reimbursements, and changes are accurate, timely, compliant, and reconciled.
• Calculate and validate variable compensation and bonuses for executives and non‑GTM employees, coordinating inputs, execution, controls, and reconciliation with the GTM partner.
• Build and run a global payroll calendar with cutoffs, review cycles, funding timelines, and SLAs.
• Design and administer equity and long‑term incentive programs—grants, vesting, exercises, terminations—maintaining cap-table integrity with Finance and Legal.
• Own global benefits administration across markets, balancing employee value, compliance, and cost.
• Monitor benefits utilization and market competitiveness; propose data‑driven changes.
• Own payroll and equity data integrity across BambooHR, Justworks, Remote, and Carta with workflows, permissions, integrations, and reporting.
• Manage global employment operations including EOR/PEO relationships, provider governance, contracts, funding, and reconciliations.
• Identify recurring failure points and implement sustainable fixes rather than workarounds.
