Job summary

AXA Group Operations is seeking a skilled Local Accountant to ensure accuracy of financial data, compliance with local regulations, and support for the company’s financial operations. You will manage local accounting activities and work closely with senior leadership across a fast-paced, multicultural finance team.

The role includes closings, tax returns, audits, and collaboration with internal controls within AXA standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5-10 years of accounting experience, focus on local accounting practices and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Close monthly/annual accounts and prepare financial statements and tax returns.
• Manage day-to-day accounting: AP, AR, GL entries, tax returns, financial reporting.
• Ensure reporting deadlines per global closing calendar for P&L and Balance Sheet.
• Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations and statutory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with AXA Group Financial standards.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements including P&L, balance sheets, cash flow.
• Participate in internal audits and lead external audits with required documentation.
• Contribute to process improvements and best practices in accounting and financial reporting.
• Maintain effective communication with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Provide SME insights on technical accounting topics within jurisdiction.
