Job summary

WTW is seeking a driven finance professional to support accounting activities at our Lisbon-based Regional Delivery Center. You will review ledgers, reconcile statements, and liaise with clients and carriers to resolve payment issues while ensuring compliance with SOPs and statutory requirements.

The role emphasizes strong English and French language skills, advanced MS Office 365 proficiency, and a collaborative, results-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Relevant accounting/finance background is preferred.
• English and French at least B2; French at C1 preferred.
• Advanced MS Office 365 skills.
• Knowledge of the insurance industry is preferred.
• Strong time management, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Review ledgers to identify items payable to carriers, clients, sub-brokers, and other entities.
• Provide payment backups to payees for application of funds.
• Reconcile carrier statements with WTW's books of accounts.
• Liaise with client managers and carriers to address payment issues and discrepancies.
• Review open ledgers and perform small balance write-offs per guidelines.
• Manage clearance of uncashed/uncleared checks and respond to queries promptly.
• Follow SOPs and client/carrier specifications respecting statutory requirements.
• Assist with intercompany reconciliation with other WTW locations.
• Book commissions against relevant clients/policies from insurer documentation.
• Collaborate with client managers and insurers to resolve discrepancies and unallocated cash.
