We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join a growing Global Business Services (GBS) organization in Porto. This role is ideal for finance professionals who enjoy working in an international and fast-paced environment, supporting end-to-end accounts payable activities across multiple entities and stakeholders.

As part of the Accounts Payable team, you will be responsible for processing invoices, managing supplier accounts, resolving payment-related queries, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and company policies. You will collaborate closely with vendors, procurement teams, and business stakeholders to maintain accurate financial records and support timely payments.

Key Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices and credit notes accurately and within agreed timelines.
• Perform invoice validation, coding, and matching against purchase orders.
• Manage vendor account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Support payment runs and ensure timely settlement of supplier balances.
• Handle supplier and internal stakeholder queries in English and French.
• Monitor aged items and contribute to continuous process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, controls, and accounting procedures.

Requirements

• Fluency in English and French (written and spoken).
• Previous experience in Accounts Payable, Finance Operations, Shared Services, or a similar finance role.
• Good understanding of invoice processing and supplier management.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an international team.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.
