Job summary

Discord Inc. is expanding its Lisbon hub and seeking a Regional Security Manager to lead the European security program.

You will manage security for Lisbon, Amsterdam, and remote EMEA, coordinate CorpSec operations, and enhance security technology and processes. The role demands 5+ years in physical security, 3+ years of people management, and strong project management skills, including vendor oversight and budgets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of physical security experience, managing corporate office security and technology integration.
• 3+ years of people management experience.
• Experience with RFPs, process improvement, and vendor management.
• Experience managing budgets and contract management.
• Experience with access control and video management systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication; de-escalation skills.
• Fluency in English and another major European language.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety and security for Discord's Lisbon and Amsterdam locations and remote EMEA employees.
• Serve as in-office CorpSec representative; greet visitors, interview security, train staff.
• Support security operations across EMEA including events and executive protection.
• Act as incident response coordinator for EMEA; run drills and trainings.
• Detect, triage, investigate, and escalate threats; incident handling.
• Monitor and maintain security systems; plan security architecture and subsystems.
• Collaborate with IT, Workplace Services, and Facilities to ensure safety.
