Job summary

Discord is establishing an engineering hub in Lisbon, hiring the first IT specialist for the region. You will stand up the local IT surface, own regional operations, and partner with Security to safeguard endpoints and identities.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with identity (Okta), device management (Jamf, Intune) and corporate networking.
• Proven ability to operate independently through ambiguity and stand something up from scratch.
• Strong automation chops: Python scripts, no-code/low-code workflows, automation-first mindset.
• Excellent written communication and async discipline; comfortable working as the sole IT contact.

Responsibilities

• Stand up IT for the Lisbon region: establish the office's tech footprint and vendor relationships.
• Own end-to-end IT surface: IAM, devices, network, AV, SaaS with Security partnership.
• Script and automate across systems to unify operations.
• Run onboarding and offboarding for the region.
• Be the EMEA coverage anchor across time zones and maintain async handoffs with San Francisco.
• Identify recurring issues, automate them, and measure time and risk saved.
• Participate in on-call rotations.
