Job summary

Siemens Mobility is seeking an EHS Professional to lead the implementation of Environment, Health & Safety strategies, ensuring legal compliance and continuous improvement across operations in Portugal. The role focuses on risk prevention, environmental protection, and promoting a strong safety culture within multidisciplinary teams.

You will conduct risk assessments, lead investigations, and drive corrective actions while supporting audits and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with ISO

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Electrical, Electronics Engineering or related field.
• Certified Occupational Safety Technician (CAP/Professional Certification) is preferred or required.
• Experience in EHS roles within industrial/logistics environments.
• Knowledge of Portuguese EHS legislation and ISO 14001/ISO 45001.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor EHS programs ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Lead investigations of accidents, incidents, and near misses; track corrective actions.
• Promote safety culture through training, campaigns, and engagement initiatives.
• Prepare for internal/external/certification audits (ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
• Manage waste, emissions, and environmental aspects per legal and company standards.

Your mission will be…

Ensure the effective implementation of the Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) strategy by maintaining legal compliance, preventing risks, protecting the environment, and promoting our culture of safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement.

• Implement and monitor Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) programs, ensuring compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures and corporate EHS policies.
• Conduct risk assessments and identify improvement opportunities to prevent accidents and incidents.
• Lead investigations of accidents, incidents, and near misses, defining and tracking corrective and preventive actions.
• Promote a strong safety culture through training, awareness campaigns, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Perform identification of hazards and risk evaluation, identification of environmental aspect and environmental impacts.
• Perform safety audits, inspections, and environmental assessments, ensuring the implementation of resulting action plans.
• Monitor EHS performance indicators( KPi’s - Key Performance indicators).
• Support continuous improvement projects related to occupational safety, ergonomics, and environmental protection.
• Ensure the management of waste, emissions, and other environmental aspects in accordance with legal requirements and company standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate EHS and sustainability requirements into operational processes.
• Prepare for and support internal, external, and certification audits (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or similar).
• Manage emergency situations by participating in the development, implementation, and testing of emergency response plans.

We are looking for someone with…

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• Certified Occupational Safety Technician (CAP/Professional Certification) is preferred or required, depending on the role requirements.
• Professional experience in EHS roles within industrial or logistics environments, preferred if waste management experience.
• Knowledge of Portuguese Environmental, Health & Safety legislation.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
• Strong communication, influencing, and teamwork skills.
• Dynamic, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset.
• Good command of English and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
