Job summary

Siemens Financial Services in Lisbon invites an Associate Senior Data & BI Specialist to join the Data & Business Intelligence team. You will design, develop, and maintain reporting and analytics solutions that support portfolio, financial, and risk management.

You will work with business stakeholders and IT partners to translate needs into scalable data and reporting solutions, implement KPI frameworks, and deliver insightful dashboards using Power BI on our cloud-based data platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Business Analytics, Finance, IS, CS, Economics, or related.
• Minimum 4 years in data/BI or a role with strong technical understanding.
• Proven experience delivering data-driven reporting projects.
• Strong understanding of financial services, portfolio, and risk concepts.
• Advanced hands-on with Power BI, SQL, dbt, Snowflake; cloud platforms.
• Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills; bridge business/tech.
• Experience in risk analytics or financial reporting is a plus.

Responsibilities

Your mission will be…

• Design, develop, and maintain reporting and analytics solutions that support portfolio, financial, and risk management.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into scalable data and reporting solutions.
• Implement KPI frameworks and steering concepts to support performance management and decision making.
• Analyze portfolio performance, business trends, and risk indicators to generate actionable insights.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain data models, transformations, and data marts within our cloud-based data platform.
• Build and enhance interactive dashboards and visualizations using Power BI.
• Use SQL, dbt, and Snowflake to develop reliable, efficient, and scalable analytics solutions.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across reporting and analytics products.
• Work closely with international teams and IT partners in an agile and collaborative environment.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, analytics methods, and data-driven decision-making capabilities.

We are looking for someone with…

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Analytics, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of work experience in the data and business intelligence field or in a business role with a strong technical understanding.
• Proven experience delivering data-driven reporting and analytics projects.
• Strong understanding of financial services, portfolio management, and risk management concepts.
• Advanced hands‑on experience with Power BI, SQL, dbt, and Snowflake, including data modelling, data transformation, and the development of scalable reporting and analytics solutions. Experience working with modern cloud-based data platforms and data warehousing concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to derive insights from complex datasets. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge business and technical perspectives.
• Experience in risk analytics, financial reporting, or commercial finance is considered an advantage.
