Intellias in Porto is seeking a seasoned DevOps leader to own day-to-day management and delivery for the DevOps/Systems Engineering team. You will mentor engineers, hire, run performance reviews, and align delivery with business goals.

This role focuses on leadership and delivery management, coordinating with software development, QA, release, security, and project management to ensure stability and timely outcomes. Office-based in Porto with a permanent contract and strong growth opportunities.

Qualificações

• 5+ years in DevOps/IT operations
• At least 3 years in a leadership role (e.g., DevOps Manager, Delivery Manager, Technical Team Lead)
• Proven experience managing a team of DevOps/Infrastructure engineers and hiring, mentoring, performance reviews
• Strong experience in delivery management and coordinating cross-functional teams
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to resolve conflicts and align multiple stakeholders

Responsabilidades

• Own day-to-day leadership of the DevOps/ System Engineering team, ensuring predictable delivery and stability
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of DevOps Engineers, including hiring, onboarding, and performance reviews
• Own end-to-end delivery for the DevOps team with planning, prioritization, and resource allocation
• Manage workload, capacity, and delivery commitments while removing blockers
• Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with Software Development, QA, Release Management, Security, and Project Management
• Drive communication between technical teams and business stakeholders and manage dependencies
• Monitor team performance, delivery KPIs, and operational SLAs, providing status updates to Head of Infrastructure
• Continuously improve team processes and delivery efficiency with best practices

Project Overview:

• Client is a leader in iGaming innovation, creating cutting-edge games and solutions, including the globally popular Aviator. They focus on redefining the online gambling experience with next-generation products tailored for dynamic and engaging gameplay.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of overall experience in DevOps Engineering, Infrastructure, Cloud Operations, or IT Operations;
• At least 3 years in a leadership role, such as:
  • DevOps Manager;
  • Delivery Manager (Infrastructure/DevOps);
  • Technical Team Lead with people management responsibilities;
• Proven experience managing a team of DevOps/Infrastructure engineers, including hiring, mentoring, performance reviews, and career development;
• Strong experience in delivery management rather than hands-on engineering;
• Experience planning and tracking delivery, prioritizing work, managing team capacity, removing blockers, and ensuring timely execution;
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills;
• Ability to resolve conflicts, manage expectations, and align multiple stakeholders.

Technical Background:

• Good conceptual understanding of:
  • AWS;
  • CI/CD;
  • GitOps;

- Candidate does not need to be hands-on with infrastructure implementation but should be able to communicate effectively with architects and senior DevOps engineers, understand technical discussions, estimate work, and support technical decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Own day-to-day leadership of the DevOps / System Engineering team, ensuring predictable delivery and operational stability.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of DevOps Engineers, including hiring, onboarding, conducting 1-on-1s, performance reviews, and supporting career growth.
• Own end-to-end delivery for the DevOps team, ensuring timely execution, effective planning, task prioritization, and optimal resource allocation.
• Manage the team's workload, capacity, and delivery commitments while proactively identifying and removing blockers.
• Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with Software Development, QA, Release Management, Security, and Project Management teams to ensure smooth software delivery.
• Drive effective communication between technical teams and business stakeholders, managing dependencies, risks, and delivery timelines.
• Monitor team performance, delivery KPIs, and operational SLAs, providing regular status updates and reports to the Head of Infrastructure.
• Continuously improve team processes, workflows, and delivery efficiency by implementing best practices and operational improvements.
