We Are META is seeking a seasoned DevOps Engineer to join our consulting team in a hybrid role in Lisbon. The candidate will leverage Java, Shell scripting, Linux, SQL, and Hadoop to build and manage data-driven infrastructure and scalable deployments with Docker and XL Deploy.

We value TDD practices, Bitbucket version control, and collaboration using Jira/Confluence. Availability for a Lisbon-based hybrid schedule is required; nice to have EU work eligibility.

Qualificações

• 6+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer.
• Proficiency in Java, Shell scripting, Linux, SQL, and Hadoop for developing and managing data-driven infrastructure solutions.
• Practical knowledge of containerization and deployment tools including Docker and XL Deploy to support scalable application delivery.
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle, including Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices and version control with Bitbucket.
• In-depth knowledge of application runtime environments, including process management and memory optimization, to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Familiarity with collaboration and project tracking tools such as Jira and Confluence to support cross-functional team coordination in a consulting context.
• English language skills at least a B2 level.
• Availability for a hybrid work model, 2 times a week in the Lisbon office (requires Portuguese or other EU citizenship, or a valid Portuguese work permit).
