We Are META is seeking a Mid Java Developer to join our Rhino network in Porto. You will work across committees with Java 8+ on Linux, using JUnit, Maven and Git, and collaborating with data teams on Hadoop Spark and Hive. Qualificações

• Degree in Technology or Computer Engineering.
• 3–6 years' hands-on Java 8+ development.
• Experience with Linux environments.
• Strong JUnit, Maven and Git skills.
• Hands-on Hadoop ecosystem: Spark and Hive.
• Clear communication and teamwork.
• Strong organizational, analytic, and problem-solving skills.
• Relational databases knowledge.
• Autonomous self-starter with team spirit.
• Portuguese preferred as main language.
• English fluent (B2); French a plus.
• Hybrid work availability: 2x/week in Porto.

For this position, the perfect Rhino should have the following skills:

• Degree in Technology or Computer Engineering.
• 3 to 6 years of hands-on experience developing with Java 8 or above.
• Comfortable navigating and working within a Linux environment.
• Solid experience with JUnit, Maven, and Git.
• Practical experience with the Hadoop ecosystem, including Java Spark and Hive.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
• Sharp organizational, analytical, and problem-solving instincts.
• Good working knowledge of relational databases.
• A self-starter who thrives with autonomy, yet brings a genuine team spirit and sense of responsibility to everything you do.
• Portuguese as a preferred main language.
• Fluency in English (B2 Level), French is a plus (not mandatory).
• Availability for hybrid work, 2x a week, based in Porto (candidates should be based in Portugal with Portuguese or EU citizenship, or a valid work permit).
