We Are META seeks a Mid Application Support Engineer to join our team in Porto. You’ll support Linux/Windows environments, manage schedules (BMC/Control-M), and work with databases and web servers to ensure smooth operations.

You’ll collaborate with engineers across platforms, leverage scripting skills (Shell, Python, PowerShell) and maintain security through LDAP/AD/Kerberos knowledge. Hybrid work in Portugal is available.

Qualificações

• Minimum 3 years of experience in similar roles.
• Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows environments and systems administration.
• Experience with scheduling tools (BMC/Control-M) or equivalent.
• Scripting skills: Shell, Python and/or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with JBoss, Tomcat, Apache or IIS.
• Experience with databases (Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server and/or MySQL) and basic SQL.
• Experience with infrastructure backups and monitoring tools like Zabbix or Grafana.
• Knowledge of LDAP, Firewall, Reverse proxy, Active Directory and Kerberos.
• Knowledge of container-based infrastructure and basic networking.
• Good command of English (B2) and willingness for hybrid work in Porto.

For this position, the perfect Rhino should have the following skills:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in similar roles
• Good knowledge of both Linux and Windows environments and systems administration
• Experience with BMC/Control-M or other industrial scheduler
• Good knowledge of scripting languages (Shell, Python and/or PowerShell)
• Experience with JBoss, TomCat, Apache or IIS
• Experience with databases (Oracle, Sybase, SQL Server and/or MySQL) and basic SQL knowledge
• Experience with Infrastructure backups
• Experience with monitoring tools (ideally Zabbix or Grafana)
• Knowledge of LDAP, Firewall, Reverse proxy, Active Directory and Kerberos
• Knowledge of container-based infrastructure
• Basic networking knowledge

• Good level of English - minimum B2 level
• Availability for a hybrid work model, 2 times a week at the Porto office, based in Portugal (requires Portuguese or other EU citizenship, or a valid Portuguese work permit).
