Wire IT in Portugal offers a DBA position based in Porto or Lisbon with hybrid work. You will manage MS SQL Server and Oracle databases, ensure performance, governance, and operational readiness, mentor teammates and help migrate to Azure SQL Managed Instances.

The role requires 5+ years of DBA experience, strong Windows/Azure knowledge, and the ability to document procedures and runbooks for production operations.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of experience as a DBA.
• Strong MS SQL Server and Oracle administration and configuration.
• Hands-on SQL Server with on-premises and Azure SQL Managed Instances.
• Experience with Oracle Database on-premises.
• Strong knowledge of database performance, diagnostics and monitoring.
• Experience in governance, capacity planning and operational best practices.
• Experience identifying and remediating database risks.
• Ability to create technical documentation and runbooks.
• Mentoring and knowledge-transfer skills; experience in Azure and Windows Server.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator (DBA)
• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle administration and configuration
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server on-premises and Azure SQL Managed Instances
• Experience with Oracle Database on-premises
• Strong knowledge of database performance, diagnostics and monitoring
• Experience with database governance, reliability, capacity planning and operational best practices
• Experience identifying and remediating technical and operational database risks
• Ability to create technical documentation and operational runbooks
• Strong mentoring and knowledge-transfer skills
• Experience working in Azure and Windows Server environments
