Axians is seeking a Database Administrator for DB2 LUW on Linux to optimize and ensure reliability of critical database environments in logistics. You will collaborate with international teams to support core data and high-performance systems, balancing stability with ongoing improvements.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in DB2 LUW administration, strong Linux and VMware experience, and excellent communication in English.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a professional responsible for administering, optimizing, and ensuring the reliability of critical database environments, supporting core business data and high-performance systems within the logistics sector. You will contribute to the stability, scalability, and continuous improvement of database solutions, working closely with multidisciplinary international teams to ensure efficient operations and alignment with business and technology requirements.

What You Will Do on a Daily Basis

• Analyze and Tune Linux-based mid-to-large DB2 Database instances
• Maintain and improve the Core datasets, on which the Company relies for daily business
• Adapt to various existing frameworks, and contribute to the definition of future ones
• Provide implementations that will be reliable, fast, scalable and responsive
• Work in multidisciplinary teams along with other talented professionals such as frontend and backend developers, mainframe specialists, technology architects, as well as our operations colleagues

Your Key Skills

• Operation and integration in High-Performance environments
• Proficient in Statement/Procedure Optimization

Your Main Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Administration and Troubleshooting of IBM DB2 LUW database management systems
• Successfully completed technical studies in Computer Science, Business Information Technology or similar experience
• Excellent understanding of Linux Administration (SLES, CentOS), Virtualization with VMware (as a user)
• Experience in DB2 LUW integration with Siebel or Cognos
• Fluency in English and excellent communication skills
