IRIUM Portugal is seeking a Database Administrator to manage and optimize DB2 LUW databases on Linux across Lisbon and Porto in a hybrid model. You will analyze performance, tune queries, and ensure reliable, scalable data services.

You will collaborate with frontend/backend teams, mainframe specialists, and architects, bringing you opportunities for professional growth and access to ongoing training, with a competitive compensation package.

Database Administrator DB2 LUW (Linux)

Requirements

• Analyze and Tune Linux-based mid-to-large DB2 Database instances
• Maintain and improve the Core datasets, on which the Company relies for daily business
• Adapt to various existing frameworks, and contribute to the definition of future ones
• Provide implementations that will be reliable, fast, scalable and responsive
• Work in multidisciplinary teams along with other talented professionals such as frontend and backend developers, mainframe specialists, technology architects, as well as our operations colleagues

What We're Looking For

• Successfully completed technical studies in Computer Science, Business Information Technology or similar experience
• Operation and integration in High-Performance environments
• Excellent understanding of Linux Administration (SLES, CentOS), Virtualization with VMware (as a user)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Administration and Troubleshooting of IBM DB2 LUW database management systems
• Experience in DB2 LUW integration with Siebel or Cognos
• Proficient in Statement/Procedure Optimization
• Fluency in English and excellent communication skills

Location: Lisbon, Porto, hybrid
