Axians is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, implement, and validate Data Warehouse and Data Hub solutions in enterprise environments. You will develop raw data ingestion pipelines, ensure data quality and governance, and optimize large-scale ETL processes.

The role requires strong SQL/NoSQL skills, Hadoop ecosystem knowledge, and hands-on experience with Kafka, NiFi, Java/Scala/Python, Spark, Hive, and BI tools.

Qualificações

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related field.
• 6+ years in data engineering, Data Warehouse or Big Data environments.
• 4+ years in functional/technical analysis and data models.
• Experience across Data Warehouse lifecycle from analysis to testing.
• Agile experience with Jira/Confluence/Draw.io.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management; banking experience is a plus; English/Portuguese proficiency.

SENIOR DATA ENGINEER

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to analyze, design, implement, and validate data solutions within enterprise Data Warehouse and Data Hub environments. This professional will be responsible for ensuring data accessibility, quality, governance, and integration while contributing to the development of scalable and efficient data platforms. You will play a key role in the implementation of data ingestion pipelines, technical analysis, testing activities, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring alignment between business needs and innovative data solutions.

What You Will Do on a Daily Basis

• Analyze, design, implement, and technically validate Data Warehouse and Data Hub solutions.
• Develop and maintain raw data ingestion pipelines, ensuring data quality, accessibility, and governance.
• Build, optimize, and support ETL processes and large-scale data integration solutions.
• Participate in technical analysis, documentation, testing, certification activities, and UAT follow-up.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define, implement, and continuously improve data platforms and services.

Your Key Skills

• Expertise in SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Strong knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem components and Big Data architectures.
• Experience with Kafka, NiFi, and data access/exchange platforms.
• Advanced programming skills in Java, Scala, Python, Spark, Hive, ETL development, and Bash scripting.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and industrialization of data solutions in production environments.

Your Main Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• More than 6 years of experience in data engineering, Data Warehouse, or Big Data environments.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in functional/technical analysis and definition of corporate data models.
• Experience across Data Warehouse solution lifecycle phases, from analysis to implementation and testing.
• Experience working in Agile environments and with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Draw.io.
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Previous experience in banking environments, particularly consumer credit, will be considered a plus.
• Experience with Microsoft BI tools, Power BI, and SQL/T-SQL will be highly valued.
• Advanced level of English and Portuguese (written and spoken).
