Job summary

UPS in Portugal is seeking a focused Customs Clerk to perform general brokerage tasks, assess duties and taxes for international imports, and coordinate arrivals with Customs. You will contact customers for information and prepare reports to support the overnight team.

Requirements include a customs certification (preferred), prior experience in a customs environment, and an approximate English level B1. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a high school diploma are expected; shift is Tue-Fri

Qualifications

• Customs certification preferred.
• Previous experience in a customs environment.
• Intermediate English (B1) written and spoken preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office required.

Responsibilities

• Perform general brokerage tasks and assess duties and taxes for international package imports.
• Prepare and coordinate arrangements for aircraft/truck arrivals and communications with Customs.
• Ensure duties and tax assessments comply with local regulations.
• Contact customers to obtain information for customs clearance.
• Prepare reports and support the supervisor in managing the overnight team.
