Canto Cooking seeks an energetic Food & Wine Host to lead walking tours and host cooking workshops in Porto. You will also run wine tastings and manage prep for sessions, ensuring a guest-focused experience for international travelers.

The role is hands-on, with on-foot duties and direct guest interaction. Excellent language skills and a passion for Portuguese gastronomy are essential.

Qualifications

Join Canto Cooking as an active, hands-on Food & Wine Host!This is an operational, guest-facing role — You will be on your feet leading daily walking tours, running interactive cooking workshops, and setting up and hosting wine tastings.

• Kitchen & Tour Prep: Source fresh ingredients at Mercado do Bolhão, prep cooking stations, arrange food platters, and keep the kitchen spotless before and after sessions.
• Guest Delight: Build personal connections with international travelers to ensure 5-star experiences.

What We’re Looking For:

• Energy & Public Speaking: Confident, warm personality who loves engaging small groups and guiding tours on foot.
• Hands-on Experience: 1–2 years in tour guiding, hosting, event execution, bartending, or culinary support. (This is an individual contributor role, not a management position).
• Languages: Fluent English and good Spanish (mandatory). Other languages are a bonus.
• Physical Stamina & Passion: Ability to lead walking tours, prep food, and keep logistics running smoothly. Solid interest in local Portuguese gastronomy and wine.
