Job summary

OJP Group in Porto is expanding its Production Department and seeks a Construction Works Preparation Technician to join the team. Responsibilities include preparing drawings, BOQs, and supporting budget control, while collaborating with site management and technical staff.

Ideal candidates hold a construction-related degree with 2–5 years of experience, are proficient in Excel, MS Project, AutoCAD and BIM, and hold a valid driving licence with willingness to travel to sites.

Qualifications

• Qualified in Construction, Civil Engineering or Architecture.
• 2–5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Proficient with Excel, MS Project, AutoCAD and BIM.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites.
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed drawings and technical diagrams for construction projects based on guidance from senior staff.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and assist in interim payment applications.
• Support budgeting, cost control and verification of completed work quantities.
• Update quantity measurements throughout the construction process.
• Collaborate with the Construction Site Manager, Works Preparation Technician and technical team.
