Zohorecruit is seeking a commercially minded Construction Project Manager in Portugal to own projects from planning to completion. The role demands rigorous financial control, robust procurement support, and effective subcontractor management.

Responsibilities include budget control, BOQ oversight, tendering, and ensuring delivery on time, within budget and to quality standards, with regular reporting to management.

Responsabilidades

• Manage individual construction projects from planning through completion.
• Control project budgets and cost plans, monitor variances.
• Prepare and review BOQs and quantity take-offs.
• Coordinate tendering, evaluate subcontractor Quotations, and recommend appointments.
• Work with procurement to source materials and ensure best technical and commercial options.
• Manage project schedules, costs, variations, and documentation.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, architects and clients as required.
• Ensure on-time delivery, within budget, and to required quality standards.
• Provide regular progress, budget, risk, and forecast cost reporting to management.

We are seeking a commercially minded and technically competent Construction Project Manager to join our team in Portugal and take full ownership of assigned projects from a client-side perspective.This role is specifically focused on technical project management, rigorous financial control, and procurement support.

• Managing individual construction projects from planning through completion.
  
• Preparing, reviewing and controlling project budgets and cost plans .
• Preparing and reviewing BOQs and quantity take-offs .
• Monitoring actual project costs against budgets and identifying variances early.
• Preparing subcontractor packages and managing the tendering process .
• Reviewing and comparing subcontractor quotations, both technically and commercially.
• Negotiating subcontractor pricing and recommending appointments.
• Working closely with procurement , providing technical knowledge when sourcing and purchasing construction materials.
• Reviewing supplier quotations and helping procurement identify the best technical and commercial options.
• Managing project schedules, costs, variations and documentation.
• Coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, architects and clients as required.
• Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards .
• Providing regular reporting to management on project progress, budget, risks and forecast costs.

Requirements

• Strong construction background combined with solid commercial and financial acumen.
  
• Hands-on experience in budget management, auditing Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost control, and subcontractor tendering.
  
• Active technical support in procurement and contract negotiation.
  
• Demonstrated track record of managing projects of similar scale, taking full ownership of project delivery, deadlines, and financial performance.
