Job summary

Wire IT, a Portugal-based IT consulting partner, is seeking a Connectivity & Network Engineer (remote, Portugal). The role focuses on transport network engineering, IP networking, and mobile backhaul integration within an agile, international team.

You will work on challenging projects and have access to training budgets and health benefits. We value experience with HLD/LLD documentation, vendor interoperability, and cloud-based networking architectures.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in transport network engineering and support.
• Strong knowledge of IP networking and routing (OSPF/IS-IS/BGP/MPLS).
• Experience producing and reviewing HLD and LLD documentation.
• Knowledge of BTS transport integration and mobile network backhaul.
• Experience with cloud-based networking and virtualized transport architectures.
• Understanding of telecom transport vendors such as Nokia, Ericsson, Huawei, Cisco, Juniper.

Role: Connectivity & Network Engineer

Location: Remote, Portugal

Required skills:

• 5+ years of experience in transport network engineering and support.
• Strong knowledge of: IP Networking and Routing (OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, MPLS) ,Carrier Ethernet and Transmission technologies, Transport network redundancy and resiliency mechanisms, Network troubleshooting methodologies
• Experience producing and reviewing HLD and LLD documentation.
• Knowledge of BTS transport integration and mobile network backhaul solutions.
• Experience with cloud-based networking and virtualized transport architectures.
• Understanding of telecom transport vendors such as Nokia, Ericsson, Huawei, Cisco, Juniper, or similar.
